Crafty Things:

• play-dough (home made) with accessories
• collage
• stickers
• drawing
• stencils
• chalk on chalkboard
• painting (particularly if B and I can work outside)
• get a scrap book for collage and drawing
• colouring book, for when B is doing workbooks
• colouring in pages, for when B is doing worksheets

Games and Puzzles:

• Duplo
• Magnets on magnetic board
• Feltboards
• Puzzles
• Tea party for the teddies
• Rice basket
• Water play
• A plastic bottle (clean milk jug, well rinsed detergent bottle, etc.)and items such as clothes pin, straw, coins, etc., to drop in and then shake out again
• Beads and shoelaces/chopsticks; other threading activities from eg. here and here
• Pattern blocks
• Beanbag toss/beanbag animals
• Sorting, eg. counting bears
• ABC matching game
• Treasure bottle

Where appropriate, put all of the bits and pieces for each activity together in plastic pots and store them somewhere I can pull them out easily and set up at the table to distract Katy when I’m trying to do seatwork with Bethany.
